Revive the 10 DDAs and 146 BACs, mechanize, irrigate, support small farmers.
- 01Review the Agriculture Ministry's framework law, in partnership with the State universities (UEH/UPR).
- 02Review, rehabilitate and bring into operation the 10 DDAs and 146 BACs.
- 03Train mid-level staff, farmers and growers.
- 04Set up, reopen and restructure State farms under the leadership of the Agriculture Ministry.
- 05Manage watersheds: protect and conserve soil and biodiversity, protect and fairly allocate fertile land.
- 06Restructure the agricultural credit bank and create an agricultural insurance scheme.
- 07Mechanize farming where possible, with gravity irrigation and solar power.
- 08Set up agricultural research and development.
- 09Give small farmers technical, financial and material support.
- 10Encourage the use of organic fertilizer.
- 11Support post-harvest technology and processing (agro-industrial supply chains).
- 12Check the quality of all imported farm products, and regulate their sale by the pound, kilo and ton.
- 13Gradually reconsider taxes on farm products from abroad.
- 14Restructure livestock farming: staff training, material and equipment support.
